Bio!!

Im a Irish fashion designer who is starting out in business, with my own website www.fionnualabourke.com. I stared in Project Catwalk 3 on Sky One with Kelly Osborne and Ben De Lisi. I designed and made Lynn Kellys gown and bikini when she won Miss Universe Ireland in June 2008. I have also worked with Ruth O Neill from Assets Models and made her 21st dress, as well as Sharon Condon from Your A Star who is now in new yet un-named girl band.

my style is fresh and fun, colourful and contemporary while still keeping true to my roots. My grandparents ran “Bourkes” a costume shop on Dame St in Dublin, it closed down when I was younger but I luckily inherited a lot of old pattern drafting books as well as costumes and photograph albums. I like to reference them in my work as I love to do tailoring but with a modern twist. I hope to start selling my work in boutiques around Ireland (if anyone is interested), ive been so busy the past year doing a lot of private jobs that I havnt had a chance to sell in shops . Hopefully in the next year I will get to do even more. In the past month I have judged the R3 fashion show with stylist Emily O Donnell and Lynn Kelly Miss Universe Ireland. It was a recycling competition in which contestants had to make an outfit out of recycled products, it was a great event and something I would love to do again in the future.
